I started feeling like I wanted to give up on this class during the first couple of assignments I missed. Even though each is worth only one or two points, it begins to take a toll on toll on your grade the more you miss. I had to realize that I needed to change my approach to the course. This entailed being more efficient with my time spent for this course and using my planner more religiously. Going through this course and learning the ways of an entrepreneur first hand all helped with building my tenacious attitude. I have to say that the drive to want to learn more about how to be an entrepreneur has contributed to this the most. Also, the extra credit helps me realize there is still hope to get the grade I really want in this course.
Three tips I would offer to you as a current student in ENT3003 is to work at least two weeks in advance. If you cannot get all assignments done for the week in time, at least try to do one. Also, be sure to complete ALL extra credit assignments. They do not come around often so take advantage of the help that your professor is giving you.

I definitely resonated with your post! This class is tedious, but I feel that it is very enjoyable and I am definitely learning a lot. It gives peace of mind that this class is not "test" driven and has assignments instead, however, like you said, you need to keep up with assignments or else it will greatly affect your grade since this class has only 100 points. I also agree about the extra credit assignments since they do help your grade especially if you miss any of the assignment deadlines.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Ashlyn! I empathize with your experience in this class. I have so many other things to do and the intensity and volume of assignments can certainly be overwhelming. I also like your advice to at least do one post per week if we run out of time during the week. I'm thankful there is often one that is less time-intensive.
ReplyDeleteFight the good fight, Ashlyn!
I totally agree with you when you say that you felt like giving up after missing a few assignments because I felt exactly the same way. This class isn't easy and it's important to be on top of your game so that you can get the work done. I also like how you point out doing all the extra credit assignments because they are so hard to get. Nice post!
